Hotel Boltzmann * * * *

All workshop participants have rooms at the four star Hotel Boltzmann, which is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the University Campus, where the workshop will take place. The hotel is known for its quiet and cosy ambience. You will start into the day strengthened by a hearty breakfast buffet and enjoy your morning coffee served on the bamboo terrace in the quiet courtyard.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Alsergrund, the 9th District of Vienna, and is an ideal starting point for explorations of the city center, as it is within walking distance of the famous Gründerzeit mansions of the Ringstrasse.

The house is named after Ludwig Boltzmann (1844-1906), a well-known Viennese physicist and philosopher. His life's work was the realignment of thermodynamics. He is also known for his contributions to statistical mechanics. Ludwig Boltzmann was one of the co-founders of the Austrian Mathematical Society in Vienna.
